Choose a box size and pay online. We mail you a mailing kit with a prepaid return label. Pack your loose photos in the kit, attach the label, and hand it to the carrier. We scan your photos in-house and mail your originals back to you with a USB flash drive of your digital files.
Yes. Every plan includes all three legs: the kit to you, your photos to us, and your originals and flash drive back to you.
Your kit must be handed to the carrier within 30 days after we ship it to you, as shown by the carrier's tracking. If it isn't, your order is automatically cancelled and no refund is issued.
Once your photos arrive, we typically finish scanning within:
Then we ship your originals and flash drive back to you, so allow for shipping time in each direction. These are estimates and can vary with order volume and the condition of your photos. We'll keep you updated, and if there is a significant delay we will let you know.
We ship with standard carriers such as USPS or UPS. Once a package is accepted by the carrier, the carrier's own terms and claim process cover any loss, delay, or damage in transit. We will help you file a claim with the carrier if anything goes wrong.
Because shipping always carries some risk, we recommend keeping your own copies of any photos you can't replace.
You pay in full when you order. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never store your full card number.
We scan photographic prints only. Please do not send slides, negatives, film, albums, or framed items unless we have agreed to it in writing.
No. Please remove all photos from albums and send them as loose, separate prints. Do not send photos with sticky residue, adhesive, or active mold.
Please check that your photos are separate before packing, and take care that they don't stick to each other in the box. Any photos we find stuck to each other will be returned to you unscanned, because separating them could damage them.
We may also return any other item we can't scan safely without scanning it.
We'll contact you before we scan. You can upgrade to a larger plan if one is available, or pay $0.25 for each additional photo.
Yes. If you want separate folders, put each event's photos together in an envelope and mark the envelope with the event name, for example "1990 Florida Vacation". That name becomes the folder name on your flash drive, with that event's photos inside.
Every photo is scanned at 600 DPI in-house on a professional-grade photo scanner built specifically for prints.
Your photos are delivered as JPEG files, which open on virtually any computer, phone, tablet, or smart TV.
Every image gets basic automated enhancements at no extra cost: cropping, auto-rotation, and color correction. These are not manual retouching or restoration, and results depend on the condition of the original photo.
Every plan includes a USB flash drive with your files, shipped back with your original photos. Some plans also include a temporary cloud download link:
The download period starts when we email you the link.
We permanently delete your digital files from our systems within 30 days after your download period ends, or after we ship your flash drive for the 500-photo plan. After that, we cannot provide your files again, so please back up your flash drive as soon as it arrives.
You do. You keep all rights to your photos and the digital files we create from them. We claim no ownership.
We do. Your photos are scanned in-house. We never send them overseas or to outside contractors.
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your photos or personal information, and we do not use your photos for marketing, advertising, public display, or AI training without your written consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We handle every photo with care. Older photos can be fragile, and we are not responsible for existing damage, fading, brittleness, or deterioration.
If your files have significant defects caused by our scanning, email us within 14 days of receiving your flash drive or download link, whichever comes first. We will either re-scan the affected photos (you mail them back with a prepaid label we provide) or give you a partial or full refund.
We can't fix issues caused by the quality, age, or condition of the original photo.
Our complete Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy cover everything in detail. If anything here differs from those documents, the Terms and Privacy Policy apply.
